Recently, Tesla accidentally exposed the locations of all upcoming Supercharger stations around the globe. Although the leak only lasted a few hours, the new addresses were captured, revealing a Supercharger station in East Vancouver, British Columbia.
The Supercharger station is located at 2750 Kaslo Street, which is part of the new office development, 'Kaslo at Renfrew District.' A permit discovered by Marco (@MarcoRPTesla) revealed that the station will feature a total of 60 charging stalls, consisting of Superchargers and Destination Chargers, with some offering universal J1772 connectors.
The Level P1 of the development will have 16 V3 Supercharger stalls, while the remaining 44 Level 2 chargers will be split evenly between Destination Chargers with Tesla's proprietary plug (22) and another 22 with generic J1772 connectors for other brands of electric vehicles (EVs). J1772 connectors can be found at Parks Canada places across the country and were briefly available for sale on the Tesla Shop last year.
The Kaslo at Renfrew District is a 218,000 square foot development comprising two large office buildings. The project website indicates that it will feature several amenities, including a Crème de la Crumb Bakery, Starbucks, and Tim Hortons.
Aside from this, Tesla is also constructing or awaiting the activation of several other Supercharger stations in British Columbia, including those in Richmond, Maple Ridge, Kamloops, Merritt, and Castlegar, which has been under construction for almost a year.
Trying to increase range is a fair and viable possibility for all Tesla owners. Aftermarket wheels for one, are a great way to achieve that.
